Homer chapter carrying out the mission of VFP national with cosmic flavor.
Veterans For Peace Chapter 187 is a growing community of members and volunteers from a wide range of religious backgrounds and political perspectives, united by a shared belief in universal human dignity. We work both collaboratively and independently to promote peace and peace education, support veterans, and encourage informed, critical thinking about militarism and conflict.
Although the chapter officially formed in April 2026, our founding members and volunteers have long been active in advocating for veterans’ benefits, writing letters to the editor, supporting local and national peace and justice organizations, and sharing truth in military recruitment spaces.
Since becoming an official chapter, VFP 187 has participated in Homer’s Democracy Fair, hosted a D-Day commemoration event, and marched in the 4th of July parade, continuing to build visibility and community presence in the region.
